According to the survey reports in past 50 years of time approximately 30,000 physicians all over the world have used mesotherapy for variety of purposes.

It was in the year 1987, it was the French academy of medicine which recognized Mesotherapy as an inherent part of traditional medicine. Basically the international society of Mesotherapy encompasses 14 countries all over Europe and even South Africa.

Other than cellulite treatment, Mesotherapy is also being utilized to promote weight loss, treat aging skin, hair loss, scar removal and sagging skin, and rejuvenate the hands and neck.

But according to a report which was published in the year 2005 in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy it was mentioned that the patients considering Mesotherapy for cellulite must be aware that the substances currently being injected to treat this cosmetically disturbing, but medically benign, condition have not been thoroughly evaluated for safety or efficacy.”
