Causes of cellulite growth
The root cause of cellulite growth is still not 100% known but there are various factors which are considered to be responsible for the growth of cellulite some of them are as follows:
According various research and studies in this area, hormonal factors play a key role in cellulite development especially in case of women. According to some studies estrogen, insulin, noradrenaline, thyroid hormones, and prolactin are part of the cellulite production process.
Cellulite is common among women after menopause since it causes drastic changes in the female body, including the skin and tissues that affect the appearance of cellulite.
Medical experts suggest that people who consume more fatty food, food high in carbohydrates, salt and with no or very little amount of fiber intake are more likely to have greater amounts of cellulite. Excessive smoking & drinking can also cause in cellulite growth.
Genetic factors can also contribute to the development of cellulite, certain genes are more prone to cellulite growth. The genes may predispose a person to certain kind of characteristics which is related with cellulite, for example gender, slow metabolism rate, distribution of fat just underneath the skin etc.
